ProjectBoobies.com Shirts Help College Team Raise $2,000 to Fight Breast Cancer

January 20th, 2011

ProjectBoobies.com is different than other companies selling breast cancer tee shirts because our sole focus is how can we help.  In the late fall, we had the opportunity to help a small college in Iowa make a difference in their community and we would also love to help your college team and/or organization do the same so that we can beat breast cancer through self exams and raising money.

Our regular focus charity is Kokolulu Farms and Cancer Retreats Read the rest of this entry »

Hey TSA – Breast Cancer Kills – Not Breast Cancer Survivor’s Fake Breasts!

November 20th, 2010

In case you live on Mars, the TSA has started aggressive pat downs and/or sending people through scanners that show travelers completely without clothes.  We are coming up on the one year anniversary of the shoe bomber being caught so I understand the need for security.  Unfortunately, today has convinced me we have completely lost our common sense security measures!  Our government has decided that it is ok to violate breast cancer survivors – enough is enough!

ProjectBoobies.com Breast Cancer Shirts Make the New York Times!

November 16th, 2010

- Breast Cancer isn’t “Sexy” but catching it early & saving lives is! -

Everyone loves to get media coverage for their organizations and it is especially important for charities to get coverage to increase awareness and donations.  Last week, we received the news ProjectBoobies.com breast cancer shirts made the New York Times – How great is that?

A quick click on the link showed ProjectBoobies.com was included in a group of large, well established, breast cancer clothing companies which made us feel good since we are just getting started in our efforts to make a difference.  However, the story didn’t turn out to be positive and it was a bit disappointing that we didn’t receive a call from the writer or that she might not have reviewed our website since it appears some things have been taken out of context that we will address here.

First of all, we believe the topic of cause products, like breast cancer tees, is a great subject for news coverage/debate because many companies donate a very small percentage of profits to charity while touting their good deeds to fight their cause of choice.  We don’t claim to be in the hearts of any company that donates a percentage of their work to charity because nobody is forced to do so.  In the article, the author notes “Sassy Read the rest of this entry »

Hey – I Didn’t Sign Up For This!

October 27th, 2010

Here is a blog post from Suzzann Cummings who is beating breast cancer!

Breast Cancer Thriver

Ironically that was one of the emotions I felt when I was told that the lump I found in my left breast was indeed cancer.  This couldn’t be happening.  I was only 42 and recently started a new job and we had just signed the papers on purchasing a brand new town home.  My life was going along as planned, then WHAM I felt like I was sucker punched.

Now, you would think it wouldn’t be so surprising since there’s a relatively strong history of breast cancer in my family, 4 women not including myself…2 cousins, my mother, my paternal aunt and my sister who endured poly cystic breast disease.  But even when I found the lump, (accidentally while at work), I dismissed it to a possible injury-after all, breast cancer lumps don’t hurt….right?

After weeks of procrastinating and believing it really was nothing, I went Read the rest of this entry »
